The organization of the Nissan Titan Desert offers the possibility of money-back guarantee for the participants in case of they were unable to attend the race.

The race organization will offer a new service guarantee to all participants of the race if they cannot be present at the start. The offer is added to the current cancellation policy which can benefit all registered participants.

Until now, if an enrollee could not participate in the Nissan Titan Desert could recover a percentage of the paid quota depending on time (cancellation policy). Now with this new offering, you have the possibility of ensuring the full reimbursement of the money of the registration.

The most common causes of cancellation has been always injury or medical problems but now this is no longer a problem for those who request the Guarantee because they can recover their money. Those who do not want to worry about possible injuries they could suffer in the training sessions may apply for this guarantee service by filling out the form and making the payment of the guarantee.

If you purchased the service and you have to unsubscribe from the race, you can do it until April 30 at 20:00pm (GMT+1 time).

CANCELLATION WITHOUT WARRANTY - (Included in registration)
- Cancellations will be produced before an expenditure of 01/12/2009 pack 50 €
- Cancellations before 31/01/2010 will have expenses of 50% of the subscribers so far.
- Cancellations before 19/03/2010 will cost about 75% of the paid so far.
- Any cancellation produced after the registration deadline is not shall be entitled to any refund.

CANCELLATION WITH WARRANTY - (88 € * OPTIONAL WARRANTY)
- Cancellations produced before 30/04/2010 and will not have any cost. Organizers will return the total amount of registration fee.
- You can hire the guarantee until 06/04/2010

Delivery of bicycles to RPM

OPCION A:

Participants can make the delivery of the bikes in the RPM Store.

Delivery Hours: 10:00am to 01:30pm and 04:00pm to 06:30pm (until 08:00pm on May 23th)
Delivery dates: April 20th to 23th both included.

There will be a packaging area for bicycles with boxes, packing tape and markers.

Will not have the tools and supplies necessary for disassembly of the bike. Each participant must come with the tools he will need.

OPTION B:

RPM will send the boxes to participant's home.

The procedure for this option is as follows:

1.- Contact with Mrs Merce Perez (m.perez @ bofill-arnan.com or +34 936 000 584) and give your address details to receive the box of the NTD. When you make the request you must provide all contact information and your plate race number (the list with these plate numbers will be published soon)

2.- After receiving the box, you should proceed to the packing of the bike and call home collect.

The organization of the Nissan Titan Desert, carrie with the expense of sending the box to your home. The cost of collection and delivery from your home to our warehouse is: 35,00 € + VAT to be paid directly to the carrier.

3.- We remind you that for the correct packaging of the bike, you have to remove the pedals and turn the handlebars from the stem.

As a recommendation, we suggest, to load into the bicycle box all the material that you can send to Morocco, such as energy bars, gels, helmet, shoes, apparel and other items used in the race; as long as the final weight of the package does not exceed 15 kilograms and does not deform the initial dimensions of the box. If the final weight of the box reaches 20 kilos, the price of shipping will be € 40.00 + VAT.

It is important in the case to carry cylinders of compressed air, ¡to put it inside these boxes, because in the aircraft is prohibited.

This option is valid from April 6, 2010 to 16 April 2010.

For the process of returning the bike after the race, the procedure is similar.

OPCION A:

Pick up at our warehouse RPM, in the same delivery address.

Hours of collection: 10:00 to 01:30pm and 04:00pm to 06:30pm
Collection Dates: from 13 May to 14 May and from 17 to 18 May both included.

From that date, storage will be charged for the amount of 5.00 € per day.

OPTION B:

Similar to the delivery, you must contact Merce Perez and recruit the shipping service from Barcelona to your home.

This service is necessary to hire before 18 May 2010.

The shipment of the bicycles in the charter of the organization are prohibited.

Os adjuntamos una información muy importante y urgente respecto al envío de las cajas:

IMPORTANTE: El servicio de envío de cajas a domicilio implica la contratación íntegra del servicio y  el pago anticipado de la tarifa para disfrutar de las ventajas del envío a través de Bofill y Arnan. Dicho pago es imprescindible y debe realizarse en el momento de contratación del servicio (sea por email o por teléfono).

Como estaba anunciado en el primer comunicado, la OPCIÓN B es ENVÍO Y RECOGIDA por lo que no se puede solicitar envío de caja a domicilio sin la contratación del servicio completo.

Aquellas personas que no deseen contratar el servicio de envío pueden llevar ellos mismo sus bicicletas al almacén de RPM (Ctra del Mig, 46 Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona) donde se les dará una caja de la Nissan Titan Desert  sin coste alguno y podrán proceder al empaquetado de las bicicletas.

IMPORTANT: The service of sending boxes involves the hiring of the full service and the fee must be pay ed in advance to enjoy the box shipping with Bofill y Arnan. This payment is essential and should be done at the time of contracting the service (either by email or by phone).

As was announced in the first statement, OPTION B is to DELIVER AND PICK UP so you cannot ask for a box sending without hiring the full service.

Esta semana ha de quedar cerrado el listado definitivo de equipos de la Nissan Titan Desert 2010. Cómo todos ya sabéis, los equipos son de tres participantes (a excepción de DUO MIXTO que son hombre y mujer) y sólo tres, no dos o seis.

Para estar incluidos en las clasificaciones por equipos los tres miembros deben constar como compañeros de equipo.

Si echáis un vistazo a la lista de inscritos (AQUÍ ) veréis que algunos de los equipos sólo han indicado a dos de los miembros mientras que uno permanece sin equipo. ESTO DEJARÍA FUERA DE LA CLASIFICACIÓN A TODO EL EQUIPO A NO SER QUE ACTUALICÉIS LOS DATOS de la persona que falta. Si tu equipo está completo todo está OK, si falta alguno de los miembros debes avisar a la organización.

NO APARECE MI EQUIPO - ¿QUÉ HAGO?

La manera más rápida y sencilla para actualizar estos puestos vacantes y aparecer definitivamente en la clasificación por equipos es enviando un email cuanto antes a info@titandesert.com con asunto ACTUALIZACIÓN EQUIPOS indicando la configuración del equipo de la siguiente manera:

En caso de tener equipos de seis o más personas con el mismo nombre debéis actualizar también los datos indicando los grupos de tres que queréis crear. Se pueden nombrar a los equipos como PERDIDOS POR EL MTB 1 y PERDIDOS POR EL MTB 2, etc... Si la organización no recibe una agrupación por parte de los miembros separará los grupos de más de tres personas a su libre discreción quedando anulada la posibilidad de cambio.

Para evitar problemas en las verificaciones, agradecemos a todos que dediquéis un minuto a checkear que vuestro equipo es correcto, que tus compañeros son los que tocan.

Las características especiales de la Nissan Titan Desert obligan a los participantes a llevar de manera obligatoria, por reglamento, una serie de accesorios básicos en sus mochilas.

Es obligatorio para todos los participantes tomar la salida con tres lítros de agua cómo mínimo. Además, en las mochilas, deben llevar una brújula y una manta térmica. Excepto el agua, este material no lo entrega la organización por lo que cada participante debe tener en cuenta esta particularidad cuando prepare su bolsa de viaje.

Special features of the Nissan Titan Desert oblige the participants to take on a mandatory, by regulation, number of basic accessories in their backpacks.

It is mandatory for all participants to start each day with at least three liters of water. In addition, on the backpacks they should carry a compass and a thermal blanket. Except for the water, the other mandatory equipment will not be delivered by the organization so each participant must take this features when they prepares the travel bag.

Recordaros a todos que desde el martes 20 y hasta el viernes 23 en el Almacén de RPM se procederá a la recepción de las cajas de bicicletas. Todos aquellos participantes que tengáis que hacer entrega de vuestras bicicletas debéis tener en cuenta los horarios de recepción y el proceso de entrega.

Fechas de entrega: del 20 al 23 de abril ambos incluidos.

No dispondremos de las herramientas y útiles necesarios para el desmontaje de las bicicletas. Cada participante deberá de venir con las herramientas que vaya a necesitar.

La organización de la Nissan Titan Desert ha decidido cancelar el sector contrareloj individual previsto para la quinta etapa. Debido al elevado número de inscritos en esta prueba no es posible completar un sector contrareloj individual, un sector en ruta y el proceso de desmontaje y carga de bicicletas en una sola jornada.

El recorrido de la última etapa tendrá 52,16km quedando eliminado el bucle cronometrado de 22 kilómetros que estaba previsto realizarse a primera hora de la mañana y que tenía punto de salida y llegada en el mismo campamento. El total de la NISSAN TITAN DESERT 2010 será de 478.21 kilómetros en cinco jornadas.

El resto de etapas, su kilómetraje y su altimetría permanecerá igual, guardamos la contrareloj para futuras ediciones. Disculpad las molestias que este cambio pueda causar.

The organization of the Nissan Titan Desert has decided to cancel the individual time trial sector scheduled for the fifth stage. Because of the high number of entries in this race edition is not possible to complete an individual time trial sector, a sector route stage and the process of dismantling and loading the bikes all in one day.

The course of the last stage being will have then 52.16 km. The time trial loop of 22 miles that were scheduled is cancelled. After this change the total route of the NISSAN TITAN DESERT 2010 will have 478.21km in five days.

The other stages, mileage and altimetry, will remain the same as scheduled, we keep the time trial sector for future editions. Our apologizes for the inconvenience that this change may cause.

La organización de la Nissan Titan Desert, siguiendo lo estipulado en el reglamento de la carrera, realizará en la última jornada de carrera un control antidopaje a los primeros  clasificados de cada categoría y a 2 participantes más elegidos al azar. Dicho control se realizará en el hotel de llegada y es obligatorio para aquellos participantes citados.

Los participantes ganadores deberán acudir al control que se realizará en el Servicio Médico. Los nombres de los participantes se comunicaran en el tablón de anuncios del hotel.

The organization of the Nissan Titan Desert, following the rules of the race, will made on the last race day a doping control to the top finishers in each category and 2 more randomly selected. Such checks will be held in the hotel of Ouarzazate and is required for participants cited.

Winning entries will go to the control to be held in the Medical Service. The names of the participants will be communicated on the notice board of the hotel.

INFORMACIÓN MUY IMPORTANTE (por favor, leed detenidamente)

Los vuelos charter de la Nissan Titan Desert partirán desde Barcelona el próximo día 2 de mayo por la mañana. Debido al gran número de inscritos este año hemos fletado dos vuelos charter.

A principios de la próxima semana los participantes con vuelo charter recibirán un correo electrónico con la reserva de su vuelo indicando todos los detalles, hora de convocatoria en el aeropuerto de Barcelona, etc.

Los dos vuelos charter saldrán desde la TERMINAL1 del aeropuerto de Barcelona con destino ErRachidia.

El primer charter será el CHARTER 1 que saldrá a las 07:00h, los participantes deberán estar en el aeropuerto 2 horas antes, a las 05:00h.

El segundo, el CHARTER 2, tiene pendiente la confirmación de hora de salida por parte del AEROPUERTO. Con el correo electrónico que os llegará la próxima semana figurará la hora exacta de salida. Está prevista entre las 08:00h y las 10:00h. Se convocará a los participantes en dicho avión dos horas antes de la hora definitiva de salida. 

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING CHARTER FLIGHTS (please, read it carefully)

The charter flights of the Nissan Titan Desert will depart from Barcelona on May 2nd in the morning. Due to the large number of entries this year we have scheduled two charter flights.

At the beginning of the next week participants on charter flights will receive an email with your flight reservation with all the details, time to call in the Barcelona airport, etc..

The two charter flights will depart from the Barcelona airport TERMINAL1 to ErRachidia.

The first charter will be the CHARTER 1 that leaves at 07:00am, participants must be at the airport two hours early: at 5:00am

The second, CHARTER 2, is pending confirmation of departure time from the AIRPORT. We will e-mail you next week with the exact time of departure. Is scheduled between 08:00am and 10:00am. Participants will be convened in the aircraft two hours before the final hour of departure..

The 340 titans of the 2010 edition will face a long journey and the harsh desert conditions.

The organization team is already preparing the latest needs and it's since monday in Morocco working to prepare the best edition ever.

From there we get the latest news about the weather. Within less than a week for the race, and for the marathon stage, the temperature in Alnif raised today at 02:00pm (local time) to the 36 ºC

On the other hand, in the camp area of the marathon stage located at 1700m of altitude, on Wednesday at 11:00pm (local time) was recorded a temperature of 16 º C so it will be important to carry some warmer clothes for the night in that free assistance camp.

 In short, the weather forecast for next week is sunny and hot during the day and at night temperatures mountain soft but not extremely cold. Still, prevention is better than cure, the sleeping bag will be necessary this year for the night in the marathon stage (night between stages 3 and 4).

For hours of racing, we recommend properly hydrated by drinking plenty of water, use sunscreens and afternoon high to reach the camp moisturizers 'after-sun'.

Tras 500 kilómetros y muchas experiencias vividas juntos, vuestras bicicletas esperan ansiosamente volver a casa con vosotros. A partir de mañana se podrán recoger en el almacén de RPM. Como en el envío antes de la carrera, estas son las dos opciones disponibles para la devolución de vuestras bicis:

OPCION A:

Recogida en nuestro almacen de RPM,

Horario de recogida: 10:00 a 13:30 y de 16:00 a 18:30. (viernes 14 de mayo hasta las 13:30h)
Fechas de recogida: del 13 de mayo al 14 de mayo y del 17 al 18 de mayo* ambos inclusive.
La recogida se realizará presentando el DNI del participante y firmando la hoja de recogida.

*A partir de esta última fecha, se cobrara por almacenaje la cantidad de 5,00 € por día.

** Aquellas personas que recogan bicicletas de otros participantes deberan presentar: FOTOCOPIA DNI DEL PARTICIPANTE, AUTORIZACIÓN FIRMADA POR EL PARTICIPANTE y FIRMA DE HOJA DE RECOGIDA.

OPCION B:

Hay que ponerse en contacto con BOFILL Y ARNAN y contratar el servicio de envío desde Barcelona hasta vuestro domicilio. Este servicio hay que contratarlo antes del 18 de mayo de 2010.

Ponerse en contacto con Mercé Pérez (m.perez@bofill-arnan.com ó 93.6000584) para solicitar la devolución de vuestra bicicleta. Al realizar la solicitud hay que dar todos los datos de contacto y el dorsal en carrera de cada participante. El pago del servicio se ha de realizar directamente a la empresa de transporte.

After 500 kilometres and many experiences together, your bikes are looking forward to go back home with you. From tomorrow you will be able to pick up your bikes from RPM warehouse. As we did before the race, these are the two options available for the return of your bike:

OPTION A:

Pick up at our warehouse RPM

HOURS SCHEDULE: 10:00am to 01:30pm and 04:00pm to 06:30pm. (Friday May 14th until 01:30pm)
Collection Dates: from 13th May to 14th May and from 17th to 18th May*.
The collection will be made by presenting the participant ID CARD and signing the collection form.

* From the 18th, storage will be charged for the amount of 5.00 € per day.

** Those who collect bicycles from other participants must present: ID CARD PARTICIPANT COPY, AUTHORIZATION SIGNED BY THE PARTICIPANT and SIGNATURE COLLECTION FORM (in the RPM's warehouse).

OPTION B:

You have to contact BOFILL Y ARNAN shipping service from Barcelona to your home. This service must be hired before May 18th, 2010.

Contact Mercé Pérez (m.perez @ Bofill-arnan.com or (+34) 936 000 584 to request the return of your bicycle. When you make the request you must give all the contact details and PLATE NUMBER of each participant. The payment service has to be made directly to the carrier.

Los 289 participantes clasificados en la meta de Ouarzazate ya tienen su maillot de 'FINISHER 2010' que les acredita como 'titanes' en la edición más dura de la historia de esta carrera.

Para tener derecho a recibir el maillot hay que haber finalizado las cinco etapas de la carrera, sin ningún abandono y dentro del control horario. Este maillot NO se vende y acredita a su portador como finisher de la NISSAN TITAN DESERT 2010.

*Aquellas personas que deseen recibir el maillot en su domicilio, deben ponerse en contacto con el servicio participantes a través del email info@titandesert.com o bien por teléfono (+34) 902 363 175. El coste del envío correrá a cargo del participante y es de aproximadamente 5,00 € a territorio nacional.

The 289 participants classified in the finish in Ouarzazate have their  'FINISHER 2010' jersey, which accredits them as 'titans' in the hardest edition of this race.

Participants can receive his jersey in RPM's office.

To receive the jersey you must have completed the five stages of the race, without any neglect, and inside the time control. This jersey is not sold  and credits to the wearer as a finisher of the NISSAN TITAN DESERT 2010.

* Those wishing to get the jersey at home, should get in touch with the participants service through info@titandesert.com email or by phone (+34) 902363175. The shipping costs (aproximately 5€ IN SPAIN) shall be payed by the participant. The cost of the sending for those participants outside SPAIN will be a little bit more expensive, you can ask for this price in the concurrents service email listed above. 

Los 'titanes' que tienen contratado el 'servicio fotográfico 2010' ya pueden recoger sus fotografías de la edición 2010.

Aquellos que solicitaron el envío a domicilio recibirán la próxima semana su DVD personalizado de fotografías.

Para los que solicitaron la recogida en RPM pueden pasar a buscar ya sus fotografías por las oficinas de RPM. El horario de las oficinas es: (Lunes a Jueves de 10:00h a 13:30h y de 16:00h a 18:00h y viernes de 10:00h a 14:00h).
