With deepest sympathy and sadness, the organization of the Garmin Titan Desert race informs that competitor Fernando Civera passed away today during stage 2.

The race headquarters received an alert and activated the rescue protocol. The medical helicopter has found the competitor at km55 but nothing could be done to save his life.

The desert deserves to be cared for

Random controls will be conducted before the start of each of the six stages of the event. The Garmin Titan Desert protocol has a defined objective: make sure that the participants mark their race bib number on the packaging of the nutrition they will carry with them. Why?
