The prestigious French bicycle brand, created in 1946, will be the official bicycle of the 15th edition of the Garmin Titan Desert. Lapierre will thus become the first official bike in the history of the Titan following the agreement signed with the organisers for the next two years.

Lapierre will have a strong presence in the adventure in North Africa in 2020 and 2021 with its bikes in the bivouac and a team representing the brand’s values. It will also provide electric bikes to staff so that they can move around the bivouac.

Based in Dijon, Lapierre is the leading high-range mountain bike manufacturer in the French market and is in the process of expanding worldwide. It has also gained prestige in road races, supplying bikes to Groupama-FDJ, a top team in the World Tour, since 2002.

Muriel Bouhet, Marketing Coordinator Spain, expresses her satisfaction with the agreement. “We are excited to be the first bicycle brand to support one of the most important mountain bike events on the sporting calendar”. She adds: “associating our brand to the Garmin Titan Desert helps us to boost our image at both national and international level. It is also a case of being part of a project that goes beyond competition, it is about committing the brand to the theme of sustainability of the event”.

After more than 70 years in the bicycle manufacturing sector, Lapierre continues to go forward by innovating and taking on new challenges in all bike segments: town, road, and mountain bikes, as well as electrical and as hybrid models. The brand’s philosophy is based on technological innovation and design to achieve absolute perfection while not forgetting performance. Lapierre bikes have always been linked with top-level competition, ridden by the best cyclists and competitors in the world. More information is available at
