One month after registration opened, the 16th edition of the Titan Desert already has 341 entrants, of which 14% are from outside Spain. This confirms how the event has become international and attracts increasing interest from beyond our borders, with TV coverage in 190 territories.
To date, 16 countries are represented in the Titan 2021: Spain, Costa Rica, Andorra, Italy, Argentina, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Colombia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Chile. Apart from Spain, the countries with the highest number of entrants are Costa Rica, Andorra, France and Italy.
Registration for the Titan Desert 2021, which opened last 18 December, continues at a good pace. The anti-Covid measures put in place for the 15th edition held in Almería, which were given a 99% rating by the participants, clearly offer confidence and security to the riders, who are keen to live another great adventure after a very difficult year due to the pandemic.
The Titan returns to its roots in Morocco with the traditional six-stage format. The race will start on 23 May, with a route of more than 600 kilometres and a mountainous profile, particularly in the first two days with more than 7,000 metres of elevation gain.
