The Garmin Titan Desert is much more than a mountain bike race in which thousands of riders get to discover the Moroccan desert. It has a strong commitment to its host country and all the people who make it special that becomes tangible through the Titan Life programme.
The Titan Life Grants, which aim to strengthen the ties between the Garmin Titan Desert and charitable projects as well as to build models that promote social development through sport, are a new addition to the programme for this year.
These grants will cover the cost of registration for the 2020 Garmin Titan Desert (flight not included) for the proponents of the best two charitable projects submitted. All sorts of projects and good causes are eligible as long as their aim is to leave the world a bit better than we found it.
To participate, e-mail a short (250 words max.) description of your project together with the link to a video (2:30 max.) uploaded to YouTube to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also attach a presentation.
The projects will be posted here and put to a popular vote. The 5 projects with the greatest number of votes will advance to the final, where a jury consisting of MKTG CEO Jesús García, a sponsor representative, La Vanguardia journalist Sergio Heredia, Titan Legend Ramón Aranda and former pro cyclist Joaquim "Purito" Rodríguez will choose the two winning projects whose proponents will get free registration for the 2020 Garmin Titan Desert.
